Everything I write is accompanied by music. As far as I’m concerned, music is one of life’s main pleasures and should be enjoyed whenever possible, for whatever reason you want. For me, music is governed by mood and vice versa, which is why I want to share this soundtrack; it gives things an extra dimension. This is the music that captured the mood of what I wrote as I wrote it. Most of it is period-appropriate, but not all. Of course, I can’t just give you this music, copyright for better or worse is a thing and we all have to deal with it. But you can go and find it for yourself; this list should have everything you need to go and find it. Try video sites like YouTube or Vimeo and music sites like Bandcamp or Soundcloud if you don’t have the recordings yourself; I have no idea about Spotify or Pandora or any of that silliness, I won’t subscribe to music (which is why you should make a backup of your kindle books too!). And of course, you should go out and buy anything that you like the sound of.
This is organised by chapter, with a descriptive title for each piece of music that should be relatively easy to relate to story moments. Where Japanese text isn’t in roman characters, I’ve tried to include Japanese to aid searching. If it isn’t displayinh, it’s a problem at your end.
